Advantages of Deep Frying

There are advantages to deep frying, but they all depend on following guidelines regarding how to deep fry correctly. If you do deep fry correctly, you will find that there is nothing easier and many other advantages.

1. Use a vessel (pan or pot) deep enough for a single layer of frying food to be completely submerged in oil. You don't need a special deep fat fryer and any wide casserole (cooking pot) will do the job well enough, as long as it is both wide and deep enough, as you need do without the comfortable basket found in many deep fry pans.

2. Choose a cooking oil that has a high "smoke point" (the temperature at which the oil starts burning and breaking, thereby smoking) - the higher the "smoke point" the more boiling time and at a higher temperature the oil can endure without smoking, thinning and loosing all the qualities it has.

3. One of the best cooking oils for Deep Frying is Canola oil (produced from Rapeseed) which is relatively cheap, can endure a long, hard day of frying and won't be expensive to replace when the task is done.

4. The Oil should reach a high temperature of between 345-375 degrees F (175 and 190 C), which can easily be measured using a specialized Thermometer, if one is unavailable try dripping into the oil a small (drop size) piece of food, if it starts "dancing" in the oil and is surrounded by a ring of gushing oil, that means the temperature is high enough, and food can be placed in the oil for frying. In this way you can save on purchasing a thermometer. You should check the oil temperature between each batch of food you fry in it.

5. Food cooks very quickly when Deep Fried! As it is a speedy process, place only a small amount of food, each batch you fry, and do not leave the food in the oil once it is ready: the water in the food turns into vapor when it comes in contact with boiling oil so the food cooks in it's own liquids and as long as there is vapor, the food doesn't absorb much of the frying oils, but for that reason should be taken out once frying is done (once there is no more steam the oil will start penetrating the food making it oily, soggy and fattening).

6. Some foods have a natural skin that forms during the frying process (like potatoes- the outer layer turns into a crisp skin that is harder than the inside) to protect the food against oil penetration, other types of food (such as chicken) need a batter or a coat of seasoned bread crumbs to block out oil- but both batter and crumbs are simple to prepare and are cheap to execute.

7. If you purchase a suitable (non-expensive) frying oil, place it in a suitable cooker, heat it up sufficiently, and fry small batches, you should enjoy lightly oiled, crispy delicious and juicy food!

Please note that oil is flammable and should be monitored (preferably with a fire extinguisher near by) at all times. Frying oil should be replaces often and used correctly to maintain the advantages declared above.

Mango Ginger Habanero Stir-Fry Vegetables

Mango ginger habanero stir fry vegetables are a great way to take your meal to another level. Take the following vegetables, onion, red bell pepper, green bell pepper, yellow bell peppers, carrots, and broccoli, and slice thinly, to a heated non-stick frying pan add all of the above, use any non stick spray to keep vegetables from sticking to the pan.

Allow this mixture to soften and slightly brown, but do not burn, season to taste with salt and pepper, and anything else that you like, such as peppers, nuts,and anything else that you like.

Next take equal parts of mango ginger habanero sauce and white balsamic vinegar and mix together, allow frying pan to come up to a high heat with out burning.

Add the sauce mixture to the frying pan, cook for approximately 10 minutes or until vegetables are fully coated with sauce.

If you have any kind of meat that is already cooked, you can now add it to this mixture, you can serve over rice or noodles, what ever is your choice. You can use this as an addition to your meal, or you can top your meat with this stir fry, you can add meat to the mixture or use it separately.

NOTE: In order for my pan to come back to the right temperature, I will take my vegetables out and then, allow pan to reheat and then place my vegetables back in the pan. You can use any sauce you want to make this dish, you don't have to use just this sauce, use your favorite sauce, add what ever vegetables you like if you do not like the ones in the recipe.

How to Make Indian Vegetarian Biryani

Indian vegetable Biryani is quite the tasty dish, massively popular in Indian restaurants, here's how to make your own, so you can gorge yourself nightly and not have to stomp into the town, it's quite cheaper too...

You will need the following ingredients which are all fairly easy to acquire:

Basmati Rice (Two cups)
A cup of mixed vegetables - (potato, cauliflower, carrot, French beans, peas)
3 onions, thinly sliced
2 Green chillies (Deseeded, if you prefer your food milder)
One teaspoon of red chilli powder
2 tsp of cinnamon
4 cloves
4 tomatoes
½ teaspoon of black pepper powder
½ cup of yogurt
Olive Oil
½ teaspoon of mustard seeds
3 tablespoons Dry fruits (raisin, cashew nuts)

Method:

1. Boil the rice and dry fruits together.

2. Slice all the vegetables and fry them in the pan with the olive oil.

3. Then fry separately the mustard seeds, green chilli, cinnamon, cloves and black pepper powder for about a minute before adding the onions. Fry together until the onion browns.

4. Add the red chilli powder, stir and add some salt.

5. Then add tomatoes and fry until cooked.

6. Add the yoghurt and stir.

7. Add all the fried vegetables

8. Then add the cooked basmati rice and minutes, cook for a further five minutes.

And you are ready to rock and roll, throw into a few bowls, serve with some naan bread and ice cold glasses of milk and you have a meal fit for a king.

This recipe is designed as a satisfying meal for two people, if you require it for more people, simply increase the measurements of each of the ingredients proportionally.

Cleaning Instructions
For daily cleaning, warm soapy water is sufficient. Clean your All-Clad thoroughly after each use. Food films left of the pan may cause discoloration and sticking. To get rid of stuck-on food or discoloration and stains from using too high of a heat, we recommend cleaning your All-Clad with a product called Bar Keeper’s Friend. To use the Bar Keeper’s Friend, simply use a soft cloth or sponge and water and make into a soupy paste. This can be used on the interior, as well as the exterior of your All-Clad (excluding the Cop-R-Chef). The Bar Keeper’s Friend can also be used on the exterior of the All-Clad Stainless collection, LTD collection, and MC2 collection. For cleaning of the Cop-R-Chef exterior, simply use a brass/copper cleaner. If your water has a high iron content, you may notice a rusty discoloration. Use Bar Keeper’s Friend to remove it.

Gold Pans - Which One Works The Best?

I can not think of a simpler, easier way to get started in the wonderful world of gold prospecting than by using a gold pan. They are the very least expensive tools that you can use to search for that magical yellow metal called gold.

Frying Pan

There are a few different pans to choose from and they seem to vary in price. The most common ones are round and they are available in different colors. Some people like to be color coordinated. You might not think that color has that much to do with panning for gold but it does. It can be difficult to see gold against certain colors and everyone's eyes work a little different. The most commonly used colors are black, blue, red and green.

Frying Pan

I prefer black gold pans. To me, it is much easier to see that precious yellow gold against the dark black background. My prospecting buddy can't stand to use black gold pans, he prefers the color green. Like I said everyone's eyes work a little differently so before you buy a gold pan try this test. Get a black shirt, a green shirt a red shirt and a blue shirt. Take a gold ring or necklace and hold it against each color and see which one makes it easier to see the gold. Pick that color gold pan and you won't have any troubles at all.

The next thing to consider is getting a gold pan with riffles or one that is smooth. Riffles are like little ledges built into the side of the pan. If there is gold in your material and you are panning correctly it will settle down in these little grooves. Again it seems to be a personal preference. I prefer riffles and I think most newcomers will to. They help to capture that precious metal that we are trying to find.

The riffles work by allowing the heavier gold to fall out of suspension. The water around the riffles is very shallow and then very deep and then very shallow. This pattern creates tiny little currents. When the gold flows over the shallow sections, it is suspended in the flow of water. When the gold hits the deeper water it will fall to the bottom because of it's weight and the rate at which the water moves over the riffles. This simple system is exactly how gold settles in rivers and streams.

Gold is currently at a record high and some people have quite their day jobs to become full time prospectors. These people have learned from the old timer's.

Outback Steakhouse is a casual dining American restaurant chain with over 900 locations in 23 countries throughout North and South America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. It specializes American cuisine, with Creole influences served in a faux-Australian-inspired environment. All meat is heavily seasoned, including a 17 spice blend for the steaks themselves. OUTBACK STEAKHOUSE'S ALICE SPRINGS CHICKEN

Ingredients:

1 Jar of Honey Mustard Dressing or one batch of the Best Honey Mustard You've Ever Tasted 4 skinless, boneless Chicken Breast halves 1 tablespoon Vegetable Oil 2 cups sliced Mushrooms 2 tablespoons Butter Salt and Pepper to taste Paprika 12 slices Bacon, fully cooked 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack Cheese and 1 cup shredded Cheddar Cheese or 2 cup shredded Mexican Blend Cheese
Directions:

Make a batch of The Best Honey Mustard You've Ever Tasted. Heck, make a double batch -- you'll love it. Pour about ½ of a single batch or ¼ of a double batch of the honey mustard in a bowl and add the chicken. Set in the refrigerator to marinate for 2 hours or, better yet, overnight. Save remaining honey mustard in a sealed container in 'fridge to use as a dipping sauce later. Preheat oven to 375 F Heat up the oil in a frying pan on the stove and sear each chicken breast 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown. Transfer chicken to oven safe pan and brush with honey mustard. Salt and pepper breasts. Add butter to frying pan and saute mushrooms. Stack bacon across each breast, spoon mushrooms on each breast and then approx ½ cup of cheese on each. Cover pan with foil or lid and bake 7-10 minutes to melt cheese. Dust with paprika and serve with honey mustard.

Anti Candida Cooking - Frying With Butter

This article will expose about anti candida cooking and the best way to fry I have found. Frying with oils turns fats into the wrong sort of fats. Olive oil is slightly less harmful in this way than other fats, but it's still not right when used in frying. The best thing to use when frying is butter as it does not then change into a substance that harms the body. I have never found that using butter has ever been detrimental to my health and there is substantial medical evidence to back up the fact that butter is far better for health than so-called health giving low fat spreads on the market. Medical evidence is not sponsored by the Butter Market Board or butter manufacturers either! However, frying often is definitely not recommended, as far as I know.

What I do is a lot of stir fries in a wok, the special deep pan for stir fries. But, instead of using fats of any kind, I put a little boiling water at the bottom of the pan and add onion rings. Water is the traditional way stir fries were always made in the Far East. Fats for stir frying were only introduced after the people emigrated. I then make the stir fry, but at the end, after I have turned cooking ring off completely, I add a little olive oil or any other oils I want to plus some sheep's milk yoghurt which I find adds flavor as well.

I then serve it with scrambled eggs, I use butter and again at the end after turning off the ring I add oil and yoghurt. Oil drizzled on any food, hot or cold, vegetables, porridge, oatmeal, etc gives a feeling of fullness and satisfaction after meals and gives the body essential fatty acids (EFA). However, oils change into fats that your body definitely doesn't want to have when used for frying.

So, maybe you can have your onions occasionally and eat them. But, it's best to do it with butter, despite butter is a dairy! Roasting the onions in the oven without adding any fat might be a good idea, too. Put the onions whole and roast them in a hot oven without adding anything. I do a lot of grilled vegetables this way without adding any fat. Aubergines cut in slices of about 1 cm are my favorites at the moment. First, get them pressed between 2 plates and kitchen tissue for about 30 minutes (you can add some weight on the top plate with something heavy) in order to get rid of the bitterness of the juice and then grill them in the grill until they are tender.
